The Baller Pups are Superstars!
Give it up for Jordan, Kobe, Magic, Lebron, and Wade! These precious pups are sweet and playful and looking for forever homes. We are thinking these little ones are a Heeler mix. Did you know Heelers are used in cattle herding and got their name from how they move reluctant cattle by nipping at their heels?
These are typical puppies with typical puppy behavior - like chewing on stuff, playing with each other, playing with toys, playing with people and just playing in general! As they are so young, they haven’t started on potty, crate, and leash training but we think they will pick up these skills quickly as they seem very smart. They are playful with other dogs and even seem okay with cats. We don’t yet know how the Baller pups are with kids, but think they should be okay as they are so sweet. They can act a little shy when meeting new people or going new places, but give them a little time and they will settle in and be your new best friend! So far, the pups are quiet and we rarely hear them bark. These pups are eager to please, toy and treat motivated little squirts, so puppy training classes will be lots of fun!
Wade would love to find a forever family who has lots of time and patience to raise a puppy properly, and who has lots of extra time for loving and cuddles. If you are looking for a puppy, Wade (or one of his littermates) may be perfect for you! Fill out an application today.
Medical Note: This dog was treated for demodectic mange while in the SOS program. The dog has responded well to this treatment. Please note that demodex can flare up in any dog in times of stress (eg, transport, transition to a new home, change in food, etc). As such, the adopter is advised to discuss this condition and best next steps with their veterinarian. SOS recommends that dogs with a history of demodectic mange be kept on regular NexGard or Bravecto for flea/tick prevention for at least 3 months or until 18 months of age. Please see here for more information on demodectic mange: http://www.vcahospitals.com/main/pet-health-information/article/animal-health/mange-demodectic-in-dogs/741. Please check with your vet if you should have any questions or concerns about this condition, and discuss any concerns you may have with your SOS Adoption Counselor.

**Additional info you should know - For most of our dogs, we are only guessing at predominant breed or breed mix. We get to know each of our dogs as an individual and do our best to describe and place them based on personality not breed label. Some dogs may not yet be in New England, nor ready for immediate adoption. There may be additional vetting, quarantine, waiting periods and/or fees depending upon your state of residence. If you have questions or concerns on any of this, you can discuss this with your Adoption Counselor.
