Lacey Doily will steal your heart!

She is an affectionate and playful girl looking for a forever home. We are thinking Lacey is a Labrador Retriever mix about 1 year old.

She is a little shy when meeting new people but with a little time (and treats!) she will be your new best friend. She seems a little more comfortable with women than men and was initially a little skittish around her foster dad. She is playful with other dogs and think she would make a great addition to a household as the only dog or as a new buddy to other family dogs. We don’t think she has had any training and a potential adopter should be prepared to give her regular exercise, a structured routine, work with her on basic commands, take her to group training classes, and couple all of these things with lots of praise and treats. Just be prepared for many kisses!

Lacey would do best in a relatively calm household without too much foot traffic. We aren’t sure how she is with kids but she seems friendly with children she has met on walks with her foster parents. We currently do not know how Lacey is with kitties. She is a smart girl and is currently being house trained and crate trained and doing pretty good. She walks pretty good on the leash and would love to go on a walk with you so she can get more practice!

Lacey is a sweet and happy girl who just wants a loving forever home. Can you make her dream come true? Fill out an application today and let her know that you'd love to have her join your family!

Lacey’s Story: We don’t know much about this girl’s past other than she was found as a stray. She is currently living with a loving foster family and doing great!

**Additional info you should know - For most of our dogs, we are only guessing at predominant breed or breed mix. We get to know each of our dogs as an individual and do our best to describe and place them based on personality not breed label. Some dogs may not yet be in New England, nor ready for immediate adoption. There may be additional vetting, quarantine, waiting periods and/or fees depending upon your state of residence. If you have questions or concerns on any of this, you can discuss this with your Adoption Counselor.
