Maggie is a sweet lady!

She is also gentle, smart, and playful. We are thinking this lovely girl is an English Shepherd and Hound mix about 10 years old.

Maggie has been living in an office at a loving shelter with some other senior dogs, both male and females, and she is best friends with all of them. She has a very special skill in helping shy dogs come out of their shell. She really loves all dogs but doesn’t like it when a dog gets in her face, can’t say we blame her! She will quickly correct dogs like that with a quick bark. She shows only mild interest in cats and is never aggressive toward them. She also loves kids of all ages and wants them to pet her.

Maggie may have some mild separation anxiety as she transitions into living in a home and a potential adopter will need to go slow with her, work on socialization, and provide plenty of exercise along with pets and treats! She may also benefit from another well-balanced dog in a household who could show her the ropes of living in a home and be a buddy for her to play with.

She is a smart girl that is house trained, loves her crate, and walks great on the leash. She sometimes gets excited when she hasn’t seen her humans in awhile and jumps and may lean on you looking for pets.

Maggie is a sweet and playful girl who just wants a loving forever home. Can you make her dream come true? Fill out an application today and let her know that you'd love to have her join your family!

Maggie’s Story: She was brought to a shelter by some Nuns when she was a young dog and has been there ever since.

**Additional info you should know - For most of our dogs, we are only guessing at predominant breed or breed mix. We get to know each of our dogs as an individual and do our best to describe and place them based on personality not breed label. Some dogs may not yet be in New England, nor ready for immediate adoption. There may be additional vetting, quarantine, waiting periods and/or fees depending upon your state of residence. If you have questions or concerns on any of this, you can discuss this with your Adoption Counselor.
