It’s ‘inconceivable’ how cute Inigo is!

**Inigo requires a home with direct access to a fully fenced, safe area for outside potty time and exercise.**

Inigo is a sweet little pup looking for a patient adopter with a calm household. He is named after the lead character from the cult film from the 1980’s – The Princess Bride. We are thinking handsome Inigo is a Dachshund and Chihuahua mix. 

Inigo and his brother Fezzik, who recently found a forever home, were rescued from a hoarding situation and had never been outside before being placed with a loving foster family. They had little to no interaction with people and received no training – everything was new to them. They were very nervous and skittish when meeting new people and going new places. We are happy to report both boys have made great progress and are coming out of their shell!

Inigo is still nervous and skittish when meeting new dogs, but is showing improvement. He will need to continue working on socialization with people, other pets, and new places. A potential adopter will need to keep this in mind and go slow, give plenty of exercise, and provide training and structure as he transition to life in a forever home. He would do best in a low-key household without much foot traffic, no young children, and lots of patience and treats!  Inigo   is making steady  progress on leash training and potty training, but does still need some work . 

Inigo needs an adopter who is committed to keeping his world small until he starts to settle in. The adopter should plan to limit visitors to the home, leave the dog at home (crated – not loose!) rather than taking him to parties, soccer games, dog parks, etc, and focus on building a bond through structure and moderate obedience training. Inigo may benefit from another well balanced (should not be overly confident) dog who can show him the ropes of living in a household and give him a buddy to play with.
