Bambi loves to snuggle!

She is a gentle, playful and shy girl looking for a forever home. She appears to be a Chihuahua mix about 3-years old.

Bambi is good with other dogs, and her best friends are her foster family’s two other small dogs, but she really doesn’t play with them. She is a pretty chill girl that loves to relax. Yes, it seems Bambi is a bit of a couch potato. She does show some resource guarding where she is protective of her food bowl and thus do not recommend free-feeding. She is also protective of the main female caretaker in her life.

She has been around kids but don’t recommend her for a family with young children given her resource guarding. She is shy when meeting new people and initially may bark, but quickly settles and wants to be petted. We think she would do best in a relatively calm, low foot traffic household.

She is fully house trained, quiet and clean in her crate, and walks good on the leash. An obedience course would be great for Bambi; it will help teach her good manners and commands, further socialization with other dogs and people, and will help build that very important bond between a dog and her human.
