The Lock Pups want to play!

These sweet and even-tempered puppies are ready to be your new best friend! We are thinking these adorable little ones are a Terrier mix. These beautiful pups are fittingly named after beautiful flowers! The sweet girls are Magnolia, Primrose, Buttercup, and Marigold and the handsome boys are Aster and Lotus.

The pups are friendly with everyone they meet and can be a little shy at first, but give them a little time and they will want to give you some puppy kisses! They seem ok with cats and their best pal is their foster family’s 13-year-old daughter. Like all pups they need work on housetraining, crate training, and leash training and think they will pick up these skills quickly as they seem very intelligent. They love toys and are happy to chill with a toy when not playing with you!  The pups are pretty quiet but you might hear them bark when playing.

All the Lock pups are eager to please, toy and treat motivated little squirts, so puppy training classes will be lots of fun!

Magnolia would love to find a forever family that has lots of time and patience to raise a puppy properly, and who has lots of extra time for loving and cuddles. If you are looking for a puppy, Magnolia (or one of her littermates) may be perfect for you! Fill out an application today and let her know that you'd love to have her join your family!

Lock Pups’ story: The puppies were abandoned at a locked gate in a park and thus their name. They are healthy and happy pups having tons of fun with a loving foster family.

Medical Note: A littermate of this dog tested positive and was treated for demodectic mange while in the SOS program. This dog has also been preventatively treated and currently shows no symptoms of demodectic mange. Please note that demodex can have a hereditary component and/or flare up in any dog in times of stress (e.g., transport, transition to a new home, change in food, etc.). As such, the adopter is advised to discuss this condition and best next steps with their veterinarian. SOS recommends that dogs with a personal or family history of demodectic mange be kept on regular NexGard or Bravecto for flea/tick prevention for at least 3 months after adoption or until 18 months of age. Please see here for more information on demodectic mange: http://www.vcahospitals.com/main/pet-health-information/article/animal-health/mange-demodectic-in-dogs/741. Please check with your vet if you should have any questions or concerns about this condition, and discuss any concerns you may have with your SOS Adoption Counselor.

**Additional info you should know - For most of our dogs, we are only guessing at predominant breed or breed mix. We get to know each of our dogs as an individual and do our best to describe and place them based on personality not breed label. Some dogs may not yet be in New England, nor ready for immediate adoption. There may be additional vetting, quarantine, waiting periods and/or fees depending upon your state of residence. If you have questions or concerns on any of this, you can discuss this with your Adoption Counselor.
