How adorable are these Garfield puppies?!
Pinging a memorable Garfield quote, these pups are ready to be the center of your life saying "love me, feed me, never leave me" with those cute puppy dog eyes. This is a litter of six; 4 males (Odie, Jon, Squeak, Nermal) and 2 females (Arlene, Pookie). We think these guys are a heeler mix (see mom pic Liz) but we don't know what the father looked like, as their mom showed up at their foster's home shortly before delivery.
This litter
is very sweet, playful, affectionate, and welcoming of new people - great foundations to grow into being amazing family dogs.
Their preferred play styles are chase, wrestling, and bitey-mouth, and although they are mostly quiet you may hear them bark while playing. Plan to get lots of puppy cuddles and they seem to love snuggling and laptime!
Expect about moderate activity for this litter; they will need daily walkies and/or lots of off leash yard play time, but they are happy to chill too. Given their anticipated energy level a fenced yard is not required but if not provided one plan to provide plenty of opportunities to play and stretch his legs in other ways.
We strongly encourage basic obedience training for all our puppies, as it not only helps your puppy blossom into a well balanced canine citizen with good manners but it also helps to form a lasting bond between your puppy and the humans in your family. Adopters should plan to spend plenty of time playing with your new puppy, training him in basic commands, tricks, and skills like leash-, crate-, and house training, socializing them with new situations and dogs, and giving them plenty of free play and working play (like pack walks).

**Additional info you should know - For most of our dogs, we are only guessing at predominant breed or breed mix. We get to know each of our dogs as an individual and do our best to describe and place them based on personality not breed label. Some dogs may not yet be in New England, nor ready for immediate adoption. There may be additional vetting, quarantine, waiting periods and/or fees depending upon your state of residence. If you have questions or concerns on any of this, you can discuss this with your Adoption Counselor.
