Spice up your life with a tea puppy!

Hi, I'm Earl Tea, and I'm so ready to take the ride up North to meet my forever family! My foster mom told me that when I get adopted I'll get so much cuddles and playtime that I just can't wait to get on that transport truck. Another doggy sibling with a fenced yard would be great for me to romp in and burn off all my puppy energy but if thats not provided that is okay too since I'm not too hyper and don't mind chilling at points throughout the day. Since I'm only a baby I will need my new family to show me the ropes - but I promise I'll learn real fast because I'm super smart and food motivated. I'm just so looking forward to my new life because it has been kind of a rough start for my littermates and I and our mom. Our mom was abandoned tied to a neighbor's porch while pregnant with us and these really nice humans took us in during all that weird cold weather we got to keep us safe and warm. Since then we've been crashing at our foster mom's house and its been a good time hanging out with their two dogs and toddler but I'm just sooo looking forward to my very own family - which hopefully may be you?!

This litter of seven is four females (Peppermint, Lemon, Ginseng, Chamomile) and three males (Earl, Chai, Pekoe). These sweethearts are playful and respect correction whether meeting other dogs, adults, or children, although they have not encountered cats yet so we aren't sure how they will do with cohabiting cats. Get ready for your new adventure buddy, as they are interested and excited when going new places but are calm when in the car. They have pretty typically puppy behavior such as being affectionate, cuddly, and playful. Their preferred play styles seem to be wrestling, bitey mouth, chasing, or with chew and squeaky toys.

Adopters should plan to spend plenty of time playing with your new puppy, training them in basic commands, tricks, and skills like leash-, crate-, and house training, socializing them with new situations and dogs, and giving them plenty of free play and working play (like pack walks).

If you're ready to make that awesome commitment to make Earl Tea (or one of his littermates) a part of your family, fill out an application today!

Medical Note: This dog was treated for demodectic mange while in the SOS program. The dog has responded well to this treatment. Please note that demodex can flare up in any dog in times of stress (eg, transport, transition to a new home, change in food, etc). As such, the adopter is advised to discuss this condition and best next steps with their veterinarian. SOS recommends that dogs with a history of demodectic mange be kept on regular NexGard or Bravecto for flea/tick prevention for at least 3 months or until 18 months of age. Please see here for more information on demodectic mange: http://www.vcahospitals.com/main/pet-health-information/article/animal-health/mange-demodectic-in-dogs/741. Please check with your vet if you should have any questions or concerns about this condition, and discuss any concerns you may have with your SOS Adoption Counselor.

**Additional info you should know - For most of our dogs, we are only guessing at predominant breed or breed mix. We get to know each of our dogs as an individual and do our best to describe and place them based on personality not breed label. Some dogs may not yet be in New England, nor ready for immediate adoption. There may be additional vetting, quarantine, waiting periods and/or fees depending upon your state of residence. If you have questions or concerns on any of this, you can discuss this with your Adoption Counselor.
