How cute is the Jungle Book litter?!
Say hello to Ikki -- one of the seven puppies in this brand new litter born in April 2021. These pups appear to be Lab/Carolina Dog mixes. Ikki has a beautiful dark seal (black/brown) colored coat with a little bit of white.

These adorable dogs were a surprise litter and are currently living in a foster home with two adults, two kids, and two cats. So far, they seem to be doing well in this full house with lots of activity. A typical puppy, Ikki is very playful and affectionate. Some of her favorite past-times are chewing her squeaky toys and chasing and wrestling with her brothers and sisters.

Adopting a young puppy requires a time commitment for training and exercise, but it is so worth it to have a well-behaved furry friend.  A tired dog is a happy dog (and a happy dog mom/dad!) so Ikki will want to have plenty of daily exercise to keep her in tip-top shape. She'd love to have a yard to run around, but if not, she'll also enjoy long walks and trips to the dog park for some socialization time. She'd also enjoy fun puzzle/brain teaser toys to keep her mind sharp and help channel some of puppy energy into something constructive. As with all dogs (and particularly newbies like Ikki), a dog training class is so beneficial. This will help to learn important skills and commands, give you some extra time to bond with Ikki, and also give her an opportunity to make new friends (human and puppy). At the end of a full day of play time, exercise, and some practice with her training skills, Ikki will be more than happy to just cuddle up with her favorite human(s) and relax.

**Additional info you should know - For most of our dogs, we are only guessing at predominant breed or breed mix. We get to know each of our dogs as an individual and do our best to describe and place them based on personality not breed label. Some dogs may not yet be in New England, nor ready for immediate adoption. There may be additional vetting, quarantine, waiting periods and/or fees depending upon your state of residence. If you have questions or concerns on any of this, you can discuss this with your Adoption Counselor.
