Tad loves toys, especially ones that squeak!

This affectionate, playful boy appears to be an American Staffordshire Terrier mix. He is smart, confident and just a good-natured dude!

Tad, also known as Tadpole, loves all of us adult humans equally.  He is great pals with his current foster family's teens, and sometimes jumps out of excitement but in general is very well mannered. He gets along great with other dogs and attends doggie daycare several times a week. He LOVES it there, and they love him, as he is so easy going and adaptive to other dogs' playstyles. We don’t yet know how he is with cats. He loves to go for rides in the car and can’t wait to join you on an adventure. Tad is a pretty quiet boy, but you might hear him bark when playing or when he thinks he needs to get your attention.

Tad is well versed in housetraining and crate training, and he is working on his leash skills every day.  He is a VERY quick study with everything that is presented to him clearly and consistently.  He is a great boy on walks and wants to say Hi to everyone he meets!  While Tad is a high energy dude and will need regular daily stimulation and exercise to keep everyone happy, he is also perfectly content to cuddle on the sofa or chill in his own bed.

Tad loves playing with toys - both chasing and shaking toys! He is currently living in a home without a fenced yard, and they are making do with a long lead, but we know he would love a fenced yard where he can run and play off leash.  Tad is also living as an only dog right now and while he is thriving, we know he would also do lovely with a companion dog who is well matched for his playstyles.

Tad and his adopter should plan to complete some dog training classes together, ideally in the first 30 days or so of bringing him home. Group training classes are a great way to reinforce important skills, learn some new tricks, and get some quality socialization time with other furry friends.

Tad is a sweet, smart, and happy boy who just wants a loving forever home. Can you make his dream come true? Fill out an application today and let him know that you'd love to have him join your family!

Tad's story: We don't know a lot about this handsome playful boy other than he was found as a stray.  He is now living with a loving foster family and doing great!  He is going to make a wonderful companion for someone!

**Additional info you should know - For most of our dogs, we are only guessing at predominant breed or breed mix. We get to know each of our dogs as an individual and do our best to describe and place them based on personality not breed label. Some dogs may not yet be in New England, nor ready for immediate adoption. There may be additional vetting, quarantine, waiting periods and/or fees depending upon your state of residence. If you have questions or concerns on any of this, you can discuss this with your Adoption Counselor.
