Jamie Blue is one handsome dude!

These puppies are just adorable and ready to steal someone’s heart away. Jamie and his brothers Danny, Frank, and Joey and sister Erin can’t wait to meet you! We are thinking these cuties are an Australian Shepherd and Carolina Dog mix.

They’re typical puppies with typical puppy behavior - playing, chewing, playing, jumping, playing...well, you get the picture!

The Blue litter loves everyone they meet and have lived with school-age kids, and were playful and responsive to corrections with them, but Jamie currently does not live with kids. They are friendly with other dogs but we don’t yet know how they are with cats.

Being just puppies, they will have so much to learn! They'll need house training, crate training and will need to learn to walk on a leash.

They each will need an adopter who has the time, energy, and patience to commit to their education, and who has plenty of time for exercise and play - all those things that make raising a puppy a lot of work, but with the huge reward of an awesome canine companion. Attending puppy obedience training is a must and will help solidify your pup’s social skills, boost his or her self-confidence, all while learning basic commands and having fun!

If your heart is melting, fill out an application today for Jamie or one of his littermates!

Blue Puppies’ Story: The litter was unplanned. The owners have turned to a loving rescue organization for assistance in finding forever homes for these precious pups.

Medical Note: This dog was treated for demodectic mange while in the SOS program. The dog has responded well to this treatment. Please note that demodex can flare up in any dog in times of stress (eg, transport, transition to a new home, change in food, etc). As such, the adopter is advised to discuss this condition and best next steps with their veterinarian. SOS recommends that dogs with a history of demodectic mange be kept on regular NexGard or Bravecto for flea/tick prevention for at least 3 months or until 18 months of age. Please see here for more information on demodectic mange: http://www.vcahospitals.com/main/pet-health-information/article/animal-health/mange-demodectic-in-dogs/741. Please check with your vet if you should have any questions or concerns about this condition, and discuss any concerns you may have with your SOS Adoption Counselor.

**Additional info you should know - For most of our dogs, we are only guessing at predominant breed or breed mix. We get to know each of our dogs as an individual and do our best to describe and place them based on personality not breed label. Some dogs may not yet be in New England, nor ready for immediate adoption. There may be additional vetting, quarantine, waiting periods and/or fees depending upon your state of residence. If you have questions or concerns on any of this, you can discuss this with your Adoption Counselor.
