Star can’t wait to meet you!
Star is a sweet, smart, and playful dude. We are thinking handsome Star is a Labrador Retriever mix with some kind of working dog drive.
Star gets along well with other dogs and would greatly benefit from another well-balanced confident dog that matches Star's play style and is tolerant of his puppy antics. He is a quiet guy in general but does bark when playing and excited.
He loves everyone he meets including kids and is working hard on not jumping up out of excitement.
Star is completely housetrained, walks well on a leash, loves his fuzzy toys, treat games and playing fetch. He rests quietly in his crate, stays there comfortably through the night and is quiet till you are ready to wake up. He needs someone that will spend the time to continue his training and offer continuous human and canine socialization opportunities. He is an energetic and intense boy but not hyper as long as his daily exercise and stimulation needs are met. He is a really fun pup and think he would do great in agility, nose works, and other working games. He LOVES to play fetch and also play with the flirt pole!
A fenced yard would be ideal so Star could run and play safely, but if that's not available he'll need lots of leash walks and opportunities for off-leash play in a fenced area. Star is probably not a great candidate for the dog park or daycare, as he can be be a rough player and is still learning from other dogs. An obedience course would be great for Star; it will help teach him good manners and commands, further socialization with other dogs and people, and will help build that very important bond between a dog and his human
Star would love to find a forever family that has lots of time and patience to raise a puppy properly, and who has lots of extra time for loving and cuddles. If you are looking for a puppy, Star, may be perfect for you! Fill out an application today and let him know that you'd love to have him join your family!

We get to know each of our dogs as an individual and do our best to describe and place them based on personality not breed label. Some dogs may not yet be in New England, nor ready for immediate adoption. There may be additional vetting, quarantine, waiting periods and/or fees depending upon your state of residence. If you have questions or concerns on any of this, you can discuss this with your Adoption Counselor.
