This dog has been spayed/neutered, is up to date on shots, on heartworm preventative and is microchipped.

Everyone has a favorite kind of cracker - ours just happens to be...puppies!

Nabisco Cracker is one of the four girls in this litter. She absolutely loves to play and have fun! Nabisco does have a lot of energy but will settle and chill with one of her favorite toys. We think she will be ok with kids if they are relatively calm and respectful of her needs. She is in a loving foster home with another dog and loves playing tug-o-war with her new best friend! She is house trained and working really hard on crate training where she barks at first then settles. She could use some work on her leash skill and would love to join you on a walk so she can get more practice.

A fenced yard would be ideal so Nabisco could run and play safely, but if that's not available she'll need lots of leash walks and opportunities for off-leash play in a fenced area. An obedience course would be great for Nabisco, and tons of fun for you; it will help teach her good manners and commands, further socialization with other dogs and people, and will help build that very important bond between a dog and her human

She's almost completely white but appears to have a golden glow about her. Her ears are brown, and her right eye has black "eyeliner" around it which makes that eye appear a bit larger than her left eye. There can be some normal variation in eye symmetry, but her vision seems normal - the vet suggested it's just an optical illusion because of the fur coloring around her eye.

Cracker Puppies Backstory: The owner contacted our Arkansas rescue partner for help with puppies and possibly other dogs - exact number was unclear. These four puppies were outside before cold weather and not in the best of circumstances. It was arranged for immediate move into foster. The puppies were thin, dehydrated and no doubt would not have survived the looming winter storm where they were. They have been thriving in foster, have quickly gained weight, and began using the litter box with alfalfa pellets almost immediately.

Medical Note: A littermate of this dog tested positive and was treated for demodectic mange while in the SOS program. This dog has also been preventatively treated and currently shows no symptoms of demodectic mange. Please note that demodex can have a hereditary component and/or flare up in any dog in times of stress (e.g., transport, transition to a new home, change in food, etc.). As such, the adopter is advised to discuss this condition and best next steps with their veterinarian. SOS recommends that dogs with a personal or family history of demodectic mange be kept on regular NexGard or Bravecto for flea/tick prevention for at least 3 months after adoption or until 18 months of age.
