Wrigley is available for adoption to Massachusetts residents, as well as those in the other New England states. This dog has been spayed/neutered, is up to date on shots, on heartworm preventative and is microchipped.
No need to chew it over, these gum puppies will make the perfect companions! Meet the gum litter, a large litter of 7 females (Eclipse, Chiclet, Winterfresh, Juicy Fruit, Dentyne, Mentos, Razzle) and 4 males (Wrigley, Big Red, Trident, Orbit). We aren't quite sure what they are a mix of, but we do know they are super cute, and the mom (also pictured) is beautiful! The mom was a pregnant stray taken in by a family who reached out to our southern rescue partner for help rehoming the puppies.
Wrigley has started housetraining with no accidents provided he is turned out frequently. He sleeps quietly at night in his crate! Leash training is next and think he will do great as he seems very smart. He gets along well with, and is playful with other dogs, and with the humans in the home and was friendly with kids in his previous foster home but currently does not live with children.
These little sweethearts love to alternate between playing with their toys and wrestling with each other to quality cuddle and lap time. They appear to have moderate energy needs and are happy to chill at times.
Is a gum puppy making you sing "I'm stuck on you" - if so, don't wait to apply to adopt Wrigley Gum today!
Medical Note: A littermate of this dog tested positive and was treated for demodectic mange while in the SOS program. This dog has also been preventatively treated and currently shows no symptoms of demodectic mange. Please note that demodex can have a hereditary component and/or flare up in any dog in times of stress (e.g., transport, transition to a new home, change in food, etc.). As such, the adopter is advised to discuss this condition and best next steps with their veterinarian. SOS recommends that dogs with a personal or family history of demodectic mange be kept on regular NexGard or Bravecto for flea/tick prevention for at least 3 months after adoption or until 18 months of age. Please see here for more information on demodectic mange: http://www.vcahospitals.com/main/pet-health-information/article/animal-health/mange-demodectic-in-dogs/741. Please check with your vet if you should have any questions or concerns about this condition, and discuss any concerns you may have with your SOS Adoption Counselor.
An adoption donation is required for each adoption; please see HERE for more information about this.
To apply for this dog, fill out an adoption application on our website: www.sosarl.org/aa/
**Additional info you should know - For most of our dogs, we are only guessing at predominant breed or breed mix. We get to know each of our dogs as an individual and do our best to describe and place them based on personality not breed label. Some dogs may not yet be in New England, nor ready for immediate adoption. There may be additional vetting, quarantine, waiting periods and/or fees depending upon your state of residence. If you have questions or concerns on any of this, you can discuss this with your Adoption Counselor.
