Georgia Brown is a sweet, affectionate pup who loves walks and playtime just as much as she loves cuddle time. She has been doing very well in her foster home with the 4 other dogs, an adult couple, and 2 teens. Georgia can be a little hyper but we think with a little consistency, training and stimulation she'll be a great pup. She gets a little excited around cats, but she can be distracted. She loves new people and new places, and does well in the car (aside from a little drooling). She also loves play groups and walks as much as she loves cuddling. She will alert bark and sometimes bark when she wants something, but is currently being integrated to a home, and we predict her behavior will become even better as she gets more training and stimulation.
Being just a puppy Georgia Brown has so much to learn! She'll need house training, crate training and will need to learn to walk on a leash. We strongly recommend that all our dogs - and especially puppies - attend obedience classes because you get to learn commands together, and it offers an opportunity for confidence building and socialization for the pup, and it also helps to strengthen that ever-important bond between the dog and her human family. It’s lots of fun, too! A well-mannered, obedient dog will be welcomed most anywhere you take her. Though a fenced yard is an ideal place for your puppy to romp and play safely, if that’s not an option then lots of daily leash walks and opportunities to play off-leash in a dog park is the next best thing. A tired dog is a good dog! Dogs of all ages also benefit from mental stimulation – think puzzle toys and games. Puppies are a lot of work and require a strong commitment to teaching them obedience, socializing them with other dogs and people, playing with them and loving them to pieces. It takes a lot of time, energy and patience to bring up a puppy - and it’s totally worth it!

We get to know each of our dogs as an individual and do our best to describe and place them based on personality not breed label. Some dogs may not yet be in New England, nor ready for immediate adoption. There may be additional vetting, quarantine, waiting periods and/or fees depending upon your state of residence.
