This dog has been spayed/neutered, is up to date on shots, on heartworm preventative and is microchipped. Harley is available for adoption to Massachusetts residents, as well as those in the other New England states. Giant Harley is a sweetie! This girl is a gentle (but goofy!) giant looking for a forever home. We are thinking beautiful Harley is a Great Dane/Weimaraner mix, about 3 years old. Harley makes friends wherever she goes, including our Pack Walks at RiverFire and day excursions around town. She would do best as the only dog in the home as she does not get along well with other dogs; she is calm when on leash around other dogs as long as they stay out of her personal space (which is 10 feet+ as she does have quite a large leg span!). Harley enjoys riding in the car and is friendly with all humans she meets. She has lived with men, women and older children and does well with them, but due to her size and moments of playfulness, she may be too much for very young/small children or frail adults. Harley is housetrained, crate trained and non-destructive in the house. We don't recommend Harley for a household with cats. A fenced yard would be great so Harley could run and play safely, but if that's not available, she'll need regular leash walks and would love opportunities for off-leash play in a fenced area. An obedience course is a must for her; it will help teach her good manners and commands, further socialization with other people, and as well as build that very important bond between a dog and her human.
