He is ready to help you celebrate even if it isn't your birthday! We are thinking this active playful pup is a Terrier mix.

 

He is friendly with everyone he meets but may jump out of excitement - adopters with young kids should keep this in mind. We think Bandit would be good with school-age kids.  He loves other dogs  but has not been introduced to kitty cats.  He can be vocal while playing and will alert bark.  Though a bit timid in new situations, he will settle in quickly. 

 

Bandit is crate trained and walks great on the leash. He is working really hard on house training and is almost there with just a few accidents.  We recommend that you and Bandit sign up for some dog training classes together, ideally in the first 60 days or so of bringing him home. Group training classes are a great way to reinforce important skills, learn some new tricks, and get some quality socialization time with other furry friends

Medical Note: This dog was treated for demodectic mange while in the SOS program. The dog has responded well to this treatment. Please note that demodex can flare up in any dog in times of stress (eg, transport, transition to a new home, change in food, etc). As such, the adopter is advised to discuss this condition and best next steps with their veterinarian. SOS recommends that dogs with a history of demodectic mange be kept on regular NexGard or Bravecto for flea/tick prevention for at least 3 months or until 18 months of age.
