Kodiak Shore just wants a family of his own!
Hi, I'm Kodiak Shore, and I'm desperately searching for a loving family of my very own. After being abandoned near a rural roadway in bad shape and being rescued by these amazing humans who nursed my littermates (Navarre, Mahana, Laguna, Pebble) and I back to health, I just can't wait to find my forever family to make me forget my rough start to life and shower me with love and affection.
My foster family has other dogs and cats and I like being around both! My foster mom thinks I would do best with another confident dog in the household, I agree! I am a shy guy and love all adults but don't think I would be a good fit for a family with kids, at least young ones. I am crate trained and house trained if I go outside regularly. I am learning to walk on the leash and doing great! I'm also playful, cuddly, and affectionate - what more could you want in a new best friend? I'm also mostly quiet but you may hear me bark when playing or alert barking.
I think I need an adopter that will go slow, work on socialization, give me plenty of exercise, and provide structure as I transition to life in a new home. You know what would be really cool? You and I sign up for some dog training classes together, ideally in the first 60 days or so of bringing me home. Group training classes are a great way to reinforce important skills, learn some new tricks, and get some quality socialization time with other furry friends.
Kodiak Shore is searching for his happily ever after, if you think you may be the family he has been waiting for, don't wait to apply to adopt him today!
An adoption donation is required for each adoption; please see HERE for more information about this.

**Additional info you should know - For most of our dogs, we are only guessing at predominant breed or breed mix. We get to know each of our dogs as an individual and do our best to describe and place them based on personality not breed label. Some dogs may not yet be in New England, nor ready for immediate adoption. There may be additional vetting, quarantine, waiting periods and/or fees depending upon your state of residence. If you have questions or concerns on any of this, you can discuss this with your Adoption Counselor.
