Nathan Bogue is ready to ring in the new year with you!
The Bogue litter is 5 females (Leticia, Ella, Em, Nanny, June) and 3 males (Nathan, Bogey, Freddy) and we are thinking they are a Carolina dog mix based on the appearance of mom Fidelity (54 lbs) and possibly some terrier/lab/hound based on the appearance of the puppies. They were found dumped at a vet's office during Thanksgiving and have been vetted, put into foster homes, and are ready to find forever homes!

N athan is even-tempered, sweet, playful, and loving! He is dog and kid friendly and has been well socialized for his age. He is crate trained and working really hard on potty training and walking on the leash but still needs a little work. He  appears to have moderate energy level and is happy to chill at times. He is a pretty quiet boy, but you may hear him bark while playing.

We recommend that you and Nathan sign up for some dog training classes together, ideally in the first 60 days or so of bringing him home. Group training classes are a great way to reinforce important skills, learn some new tricks, and get some quality socialization time with other furry friends.

Think a Bogue puppy would be the perfect addition to your home? Don't wait to apply to adopt Nathan Bogue today!

Medical Note: A littermate of this dog tested positive and was treated for demodectic mange while in the SOS program. This dog has also been preventatively treated and currently shows no symptoms of demodectic mange. Please note that demodex can have a hereditary component and/or flare up in any dog in times of stress (e.g., transport, transition to a new home, change in food, etc.). As such, the adopter is advised to discuss this condition and best next steps with their veterinarian. SOS recommends that dogs with a personal or family history of demodectic mange be kept on regular NexGard or Bravecto for flea/tick prevention for at least 3 months after adoption or until 18 months of age. Please see here for more information on demodectic mange: http://www.vcahospitals.com/main/pet-health-information/article/animal-health/mange-demodectic-in-dogs/741. Please check with your vet if you should have any questions or concerns about this condition and discuss any concerns you may have with your SOS Adoption Counselor.

An adoption donation is required for each adoption; please see   HERE   for more information about this.

To apply for this dog, fill out an adoption application on our website: www.sosarl.org/aa/

**Additional info you should know - For most of our dogs, we are only guessing at predominant breed or breed mix. We get to know each of our dogs as an individual and do our best to describe and place them based on personality not breed label. Some dogs may not yet be in New England, nor ready for immediate adoption. There may be additional vetting, quarantine, waiting periods and/or fees depending upon your state of residence. If you have questions or concerns on any of this, you can discuss this with your Adoption Counselor.
