The Peanuts gang is here! Sally CharlieBrown is one of four adorable puppies in the CharlieBrown litter. These little ones were born on October 25, 2022, and we're thinking they look like Catahoula mixes. They're all pretty tiny right now but will likely grow to be medium-sized dogs as adults. Sally is mostly black with some white on her chest and her front paws.
These puppies were a surprise litter and their previous owner reached out to us to help them find their forever homes. They have been living in a foster home since they were born, along with an adult couple, school-aged children, and two other dogs. They are getting along with everyone in this busy, fun household and would probably adjust well to a similar home in the future! They haven't met any cats or smaller critters yet, but they are friendly and playful with everyone else they've encountered.
Sally is your typical puppy -- affectionate, fun-loving, and so cuddly! She loves chasing and wrestling with her siblings and other pups, and she would definitely be up for some trips to the dog park to play with furry friends. She's also a big fan of squeaky chew toys. With that fun puppy personality also comes some puppy energy, so she'll need her new human(s) to help her burn that off. We would also definitely recommend some puppy training classes. Sally will need some help working on all her house manners, crate training, loose leash walking, and learning the basic commands (sit, stay, etc.), and the structure of a class environment can be really helpful for you and the pup. It's a great way to reinforce these skills, bond together, and get a chance to socialize with other dogs. After a full day of going for walks, practicing new skills, playing with some stimulating brain-teaser toys, Sally will be excited to curl up and snuggle. Remember: a tired dog is a happy dog!
Puppies require some extra time and attention getting them acclimated to a new home, but it is so rewarding and worth it! Sally would make a wonderful addition to your family. Fill out an application and come meet her soon!

**Additional info you should know - For most of our dogs, we are only guessing at predominant breed or breed mix. We get to know each of our dogs as an individual and do our best to describe and place them based on personality not breed label. Some dogs may not yet be in New England, nor ready for immediate adoption. There may be additional vetting, quarantine, waiting periods and/or fees depending upon your state of residence. If you have questions or concerns on any of this, you can discuss this with your Adoption Counselor.
