Wilbur Wright is handsome boy!
He is also sweet, quiet, and playful. We are thinking this laid-back dude is a Yorkshire Terrier (aka Yorkie) mix. Did you know Yorkies are one of the smallest terriers? The breed was developed during the 19th century in Yorkshire, England.
Wilbur is friendly and sweet with everyone he meets including kids, but he does like to jump out of excitement. Also, he may prefer to live in a mature household rather than one with young children. He tends to prefer the company of us humans over other dogs as while he is playful with some, others he may act a bit rude or submissive with. He is interested in cats in a playful way.
He is working on house training and his leash skills but is great in the crate. He also is calm and well behaved in the car and would love to go for a ride with you! He is a pretty quiet boy (just some alert barks) and would be great in an apartment or condo with regular walks. He is a playful boy and also loves to chill, preferably with you!
Wilbur is a warmhearted boy who just wants a loving forever home. Can you make his dream come true? Fill out an application today and let him know that you'd love to have him join your family!
Wilbur’s Story: He was left on someone’s porch with his sister Jackie and older brother Orville with a sad note from the owner saying she could no longer care for them. A loving rescue stepped in to help.
An adoption donation is required for each adoption; please see HERE for more information about this.

*Additional info you should know - For most of our dogs, we are only guessing at predominant breed or breed mix. We get to know each of our dogs as an individual and do our best to describe and place them based on personality not breed label. Some dogs may not yet be in New England, nor ready for immediate adoption. There may be additional vetting, quarantine, waiting periods and/or fees depending upon your state of residence. If you have questions or concerns on any of this, you can discuss this with your Adoption Counselor.
