“Hi, everyone. I’m Olaf and I like warm hugs!” -Olaf
Some puppies are worth melting for! This litter of two sisters (Anna and Elsa) and one brother (Olaf) will warm you up after a cold winter with their love for lap time and cuddling. They are 5-month-old boxer mix puppies who are affectionate, outgoing, and playful pups looking for their forever homes! They like to rough wrestle and play tug-o-war with each other, the other dogs in their foster home, and cats but we don’t know how they are with kids. The Frozen puppies enjoy doing puppy things like chewing on things, running around, and playing with toys -squeaky and chew toys are their favorites! They are mostly quiet and will bark with enthusiasm during playtime. There have been times the pups managed to escape through a door or gate, mostly out of eagerness, so you don’t have to live in fear. Being puppies, they have so much to learn! They'll need house training, crate training and will need to learn to walk on a leash. We strongly recommend that all our dogs - and especially puppies - attend obedience classes because you get to learn commands together, and it offers an opportunity for confidence building and socialization for the dog, and it also helps to strengthen that ever-important bond between the dog and his/her human family. It’s lots of fun, too! A well-mannered, obedient dog will be welcomed most anywhere you take them. Though a fenced yard is an ideal place for your puppy to romp and play safely, if that’s not an option then lots of daily leash walks and opportunities to play off-leash in a dog park is the next best thing. A tired dog is a good dog! Dogs of all ages also benefit from mental stimulation – think puzzle toys and games. Puppies are a lot of work and require a strong commitment to teaching them obedience, socializing them with other dogs and people, playing with them and loving them to pieces. It takes a lot of time, energy and patience to bring up a puppy - and it’s totally worth it!
Medical Note: This dog was treated for demodectic mange while in the SOS program. The dog has responded well to this treatment. Please note that demodex can flare up in any dog in times of stress (eg, transport, transition to a new home, change in food, etc). As such, the adopter is advised to discuss this condition and best next steps with their veterinarian. SOS recommends that dogs with a history of demodectic mange be kept on regular NexGard or Bravecto for flea/tick prevention for at least 3 months or until 18 months of age. Please see here for more information on demodectic mange: http://www.vcahospitals.com/main/pet-health-information/article/animal-health/mange-demodecticin-dogs/741. Please check with your vet if you should have any questions or concerns about this condition, and discuss any concerns you may have with your SOS Adoption Counselor.
An adoption donation is required for each adoption; please see HERE for more information about this.

**Additional info you should know - For most of our dogs, we are only guessing at predominant breed or breed mix. We get to know each of our dogs as an individual and do our best to describe and place them based on personality not breed label. Some dogs may not yet be in New England, nor ready for immediate adoption. There may be additional vetting, quarantine, waiting periods and/or fees depending upon your state of residence. If you have questions or concerns on any of this, you can discuss this with your Adoption Counselor.
