Venus is out of this world!
Venus looks to be a precious little Chihuahua Dachshund mix (CHIWEENIE!) who is playful with all (adults, children, other pups, cats). This girl has a long list of great personality traits: she's outgoing, affectionate, intelligent, gentle, goofy, quiet, and eager to please just to name a few. She loves playtime (playing with toys, playgroups, going new places) but is equally happy to chill with her humans. Her foster mom says, "she is a wonderful girl, so ready for love & adventure!"
She is happy to meet and play with other dogs, cats, school-age kids and all adults - she is just one friendly outgoing girl! She rides great in the car and would love to join you on an adventure. Gentle and sometimes goofy, she is a pretty quiet little lady who rarely barks. Venus is sweet as they come with a heart of gold. Venus would be a great dog for a first-time dog owner.
Smart Venus is house trained, crate trained, and walk great on the leash! An obedience course would be great for Venus; it will help teach her good manners and commands, further socialization with other dogs and people, and will help build that very important bond between a dog and her human.
Venus is an affectionate and happy girl who just wants a loving forever home. Can you make her dream come true? Fill out an application today and let her know that you'd love to have her join your family!
Venus’ story: Venus and her daughter Jupiter were found abandoned and not reclaimed. Mom and daughter are living with a loving foster and doing great. Jupiter may come to SOS later this summer.

*Additional info you should know - For most of our dogs, we are only guessing at predominant breed or breed mix. We get to know each of our dogs as an individual and do our best to describe and place them based on personality not breed label. Some dogs may not yet be in New England, nor ready for immediate adoption. There may be additional vetting, quarantine, waiting periods and/or fees depending upon your state of residence. If you have questions or concerns on any of this, you can discuss this with your Adoption Counselor.
