This dog has been spayed/neutered, is up to date on shots, on heartworm preventative and is microchipped.

Eevie is a shy and very small dog who was found as a stray by local animal control. She enjoys looking pretty in a nice, warm sweater. When she first meets new people or finds herself in a different environment, she is quite timid, but is friendly, once she feels safe.

Eevie has lived with adults, children, cats and other dogs and done well.  She is always happy to chill or cuddle, and is calm with adults and children and is interested in the resident dogs and cat, but she prefers having quiet time instead of actively playing. If she sees a small animal or cat outside, she is alert, but easily redirected. She rarely barks. Eevie is not at all destructive, and content to sleep in her crate or kennel when she is left alone.

She is doing well with housetraining and leash walking. She feels very safe inside her crate, but is happy to be cuddled on your lap, too.  She is calm in the car but can get spooked easily so should be crated or tethered for safety.

Eevie tends to be a bit skittish, and because she is so tiny, she will not be the best fit for a home with any young or rambunctious children. Ideally, she will live in a lower activity home, where she can snuggle gently with her people and not worry about trying to  be an extrovert.  Eevie will be a wonderful and sweet companion to anyone lucky enough to adopt her.

An adoption donation is required for each adoption; please see  HERE  for more information about this.

**Additional info you should know - For most of our dogs, we are only guessing at predominant breed or breed mix. We get to know each of our dogs as an individual and do our best to describe and place them based on personality not breed label. Some dogs may not yet be in New England, nor ready for immediate adoption. There may be additional vetting, quarantine, waiting periods and/or fees depending upon your state of residence. If you have questions or concerns on any of this, you can discuss this with your Adoption Counselor.
