Mac is an easygoing Dachshund mix who is about a year old. He was dumped at a local business near a busy highway, and no owner was ever located. He has been living in an active foster home for two months with a woman, older children, dogs, and cats--and he gets along with absolutely everyone. He is very accepting of every newcomer he encounters, whether it is a person, a dog, or a cat.
He enjoys playing with toys and gently wrestling with his canine friends. He is happy to go out on an excursion whenever you want, but if you are busy, he will nap quietly and calmly until you are ready to go. He is terrific with other dogs and makes friends effortlessly.
Mac is solidly housebroken, and crate trained. He also walks calmly on a loose leash almost all of the time. He rarely barks. He has been well integrated into his foster home, where he enjoys jumping up on couches to spend time with his people and the resident pets. He has been described as a perfect house guest.
Mac is a very mild-mannered and low maintenance kind of guy--and we think he will adapt seamlessly to a wide variety of living situations. He is a delightful young dog who can't wait to be your new pal!
An adoption donation is required for each adoption; please see HERE for more information about this.

*Additional info you should know - For most of our dogs, we are only guessing at predominant breed or breed mix. We get to know each of our dogs as an individual and do our best to describe and place them based on personality not breed label. Some dogs may not yet be in New England, nor ready for immediate adoption. There may be additional vetting, quarantine, waiting periods and/or fees depending upon your state of residence. If you have questions or concerns on any of this, you can discuss this with your Adoption Counselor.
