This dog has been spayed/neutered, is up to date on shots, on heartworm preventative and is microchipped.

Indigo is a beautiful dark grey Doodle mix who is about two and a half years old. She was found abandoned by a creek, along with her mother and her three sisters. All of the dogs were in poor condition, with filthy and matted fur, but they are thriving now. Indigo is currently living in a moderately busy foster home with an adult couple, a twelve year old child, two dogs, and a cat. She gets along well with everyone, and while she is interested in the cat, she is easily redirected and always friendly.

Indigo has been described as being laidback and charming, with a heart of gold. She is an easygoing girl who loves to play, but also likes to cuddle up with her people. She enjoys games of chase, and loves to wrestle with her canine companions.

So far, she seems to be fully housebroken, and she has been calm and quiet in her crate or when riding in the car. She rarely barks. Once, she escaped briefly, but the fence was broken and hadn't been repaired yet. She can be a bit goofy, and will zig-zag on her leash or do some counter surfing, but she is eager to please and very responsive to gentle corrections. We recommend obedience training for all of our dogs, because it gives you a chance to learn the commands together, and it's also fun!

Indigo is a lovely and affectionate dog who is going to make her new family very happy, and we believe that she will be a great fit for a wide variety of homes. Indigo is full of joy, and she can't wait to share that with you!

Medical Note: This dog tested positive for exposure to ehrlichia while in SOS foster care. This does not mean that this dog had ehrlichia. This dog is/has been asymptomatic while in SOS care and was preventatively treated with a 28-day course of doxycycline.
