Baby Yoda is a very sweet and playful young puppy. We have no idea what breed she is--but, she is definitely adorable, and her ears are awesome! She was found right by the area where Yoda Jedi, an SOS alumna, had been picked up three weeks earlier. Yoda Jedi was lactating when she was rescued, but no puppies were located. Considering the timing and the strong resemblance, we are convinced that Baby Yoda is Yoda Jedi's daughter, which is a happy ending to the story.

Baby Yoda was in rough shape when she was found, but after some medical attention and tender loving care, she is now gorgeous and fully recovered. She is currently living in an active foster home with an adult couple, three children, dogs, and cats. Baby Yoda loves everyone, including the cats! She really enjoys playing with the resident dogs, but she is also happy to cuddle up with her people whenever possible. She only barks when she is romping with her pals.

Her house, leash, and crate training have started, and she is already making terrific progress. She rides well in the car, but sometimes gets a little anxious. We recommend obedience training for all of our dogs, especially puppies, because you and your new friend get to learn the commands together and the puppy gains confidence. It's also fun!

Baby Yoda has been described as a laidback and easy puppy who has been a perfect house guest. She will be an excellent fit for almost every living situation, and anyone lucky enough to adopt her is certain to fall madly in love!

Medical Note:  This dog is being treated/has been treated for demodectic mange, a non-contagious skin condition. The dog has responded well to this treatment and is ready for adoption, though may still have some bald patches and/or thin fur in places.  Please note that demodex can flare up in any dog in times of stress (eg, transport, transition to a new home, change in food, etc). As such, the adopter is advised to discuss this condition and best next steps with their veterinarian. SOS recommends that dogs with a history of demodectic mange be kept on regular NexGard or Bravecto for flea/tick prevention for at least 3 months after adoption for adults or until 18 months of age for puppies.  Please see here for more information on demodectic mange, and talk with your Adoption Counselor about this condition.  Please check with your vet if you have any questions or concerns about this medical history.

An adoption donation is required for each adoption; please see  HERE  for more information about this.

**Additional info you should know - For most of our dogs, we are only guessing at predominant breed or breed mix. We get to know each of our dogs as an individual and do our best to describe and place them based on personality not breed label. Some dogs may not yet be in New England, nor ready for immediate adoption. There may be additional vetting, quarantine, waiting periods and/or fees depending upon your state of residence. If you have questions or concerns on any of this, you can discuss this with your Adoption Counselor.
