Meet Norma, a young dog with a heart full of love. Her sweetness is as palpable as her intelligence. We are thinking sweet Norma is a Shepherd mix. She's not just friendly, she's a friend waiting to happen. Her gentleness will win you over, and her smart nature will keep you intrigued.

Recently, Norma embraced motherhood, a testament to her nurturing and loving disposition. She's been a wonderful mom, caring and protective, yet gentle and patient. She is a smart girl who is house trained, travels well crated, and is calm and mild-mannered loose in the home.  She is really such an easy and lovely dog!  Basic group training classes is recommended to help her learn commands, socialize with other humans and dogs, as well as build that fur-ever bond with you!

Norma is not just a pet, she's a companion. She's the one who will greet you at the door, share your joys, and comfort you on a rough day. Norma’s Osiyo story: She was found tied up with her three pups; Ollie, Opie, and Josey (also available on SOS). Norma and her pups are now in a loving foster home and doing great! Osiyo is translated as ‘Hello’ in Cherokee and offers a deep spirit of welcoming and hospitality and has been used by the Cherokee people for centuries.

**Additional info you should know - For most of our dogs, we are only guessing at predominant breed or breed mix. We get to know each of our dogs as an individual and do our best to describe and place them based on personality not breed label. Some dogs may not yet be in New England, nor ready for immediate adoption. There may be additional vetting, quarantine, waiting periods and/or fees depending upon your state of residence. If you have questions or concerns on any of this, you can discuss this with your Adoption Counselor.
