Age: 1 year (as of 12/1/24)
Weight: 36 lbs (as of 2/15/25)
This dog has been spayed/neutered, is up to date on shots, on heartworm preventative and is microchipped.
Meet Presley, a youthful spirit brimming with sweetness, gentleness, and playfulness. He's the kind of dog who'll fill your days with laughter due to his goofy antics. Despite his lively nature, he's also incredibly gentle, always ready to nuzzle into your side for a comforting cuddle. Presley is really laid back and loves everyone but will play by himself.
He has been living with another dog, Gus Gus (also available on SOS). While the two are pals they do not appear bonded and can be adopted separately.
Presley is still learning the ropes of house training, so he'll need a patient owner ready to guide him. His experience with children and cats is yet to be discovered, but with his loving temperament, there's potential for him to fit into many homes. Adopting Presley means gaining a loyal friend who will bring joy, love, and a touch of silliness into your life.
We strongly recommend that all our dogs attend obedience classes because you get to learn commands together, it offers an opportunity for confidence building and socialization for the dog, and it also helps to strengthen that ever-important bond between the dog and her human family. It’s lots of fun, too!
Presley’s story: Along with his best bud Gus Gus, he has been living with a couple that have recently developed significant heath problems leading them to surrender both dogs.
Medical Note: This dog tested positive for exposure to Ehrlichia while in SOS foster care. This does not mean that this dog had Ehrlichia. This dog is/has been asymptomatic while in SOS care and was preventatively treated with a 28-day course of doxycycline. Please see here for more information on Ehrlichia: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ehrlichiosis_(canine). Please check with your vet if you should have any questions or concerns about this condition, and discuss any concerns you may have with your SOS Adoption Counselor.
An adoption donation is required for each adoption; please see HERE for more information about this.

**Additional info you should know - For most of our dogs, we are only guessing at predominant breed or breed mix. We get to know each of our dogs as an individual and do our best to describe and place them based on personality not breed label. Some dogs may not yet be in New England, nor ready for immediate adoption. There may be additional vetting, quarantine, waiting periods and/or fees depending upon your state of residence. If you have questions or concerns on any of this, you can discuss this with your Adoption Counselor.
