Meet Jude!

Jude is a striking red merle Australian Shepherd/Cattle Dog mix with the brains and energy to match his beautiful coat! This smart, eager-to-please young adult is looking for an active home that understands and appreciates the needs of a working breed. Although he does love activity, he is happy to chill on the couch after his exercise needs are met. 

Jude is affectionate, outgoing, and highly intelligent. He is house trained, crate trained, and working on his leash skills. He enjoys meeting new people, going on walks, playing, and engaging with his environment. While he will settle after exercise, Jude thrives with at least 1-2+ hours of daily activity and mental stimulation. He is very food motivated and loves training!

 He should not be placed in a home with cats, as he sees them as something to herd. When it comes to kids, we’d recommend a home with older, sturdy children (10+) who understand that Jude’s natural instinct to "nudge" or "herd" is just part of his DNA!

He is a smart boy and basic group training classes is recommended to help him learn some fun new skills, socialize with other humans and dogs, as well as build that fur-ever bond with you!

Jude’s story is one of resilience—rescued off the streets, he’s now ready for a second chance at the loving, active,  home he deserves. If you're looking for a loyal, trainable, and adventure-ready companion, Jude just might be your perfect match!

**Additional info you should know - For most of our dogs, we are only guessing at predominant breed or breed mix. We get to know each of our dogs as an individual and do our best to describe and place them based on personality not breed label. Some dogs may not yet be in New England, nor ready for immediate adoption. There may be additional vetting, quarantine, waiting periods and/or fees depending upon your state of residence. If you have questions or concerns on any of this, you can discuss this with your Adoption Counselor.
