at PetSmart in Warwick RI, 1276 Bald Hill Rd., from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.

This dog has been spayed/neutered, is up to date on shots, on heartworm preventative and is microchipped.

This is sweet Maddie - she is the smallest in the litter and looks most like a miniature dachsund. A happy gal that loves to play and be held. Maddie is somewhat shy at first and more independent than her siblings, but she is happy to sit quietly in your lap. She also likes to wrestle with her siblings! She is currently working on walking on a leash and likes to hang out in her crate. She will need to be house trained and taught good doggie manners. Maddie will make a great family dog for a family that has the time and energy for a puppy. She is playful and spunky! A fenced in yard would be beneficial, so she can safely run and play. Maddie was born to a family that had her mom. Someone from the family brought her, her five siblings and her mom to Animal Control and claimed they were strays and if they didn't take them, he would shoot them. We were called and now all are presently safe. If you have the room in your heart and home for Maddie, then please fill out an application and give this sweet girl the home she so deserves.

We get to know each of our dogs as an individual and do our best to describe and place them based on personality not breed label. There may be additional vetting, quarantine, waiting periods and/or fees depending upon your state of residence.
