Meet Abbot! Abbott is a handsome Beagle mix around 2-3 years old. He was found as a stray and no one came to claim him. He has beautiful markings, soulful eyes, and could possibly be a pure bred beagle. He is great with other dogs, loves tug-o-war and playing and running outside. He has medium energy and a beagle nose, so a fenced in yard in his new home would be ideal. He loves to roam around the yard, sniffing everything and tossing toys to himself. He is not vocal - he only bays when he gets really excited in play. He loves pets and to snuggle with his human. He is very submissive to humans and other dogs, and only wants to please. He is good with kids and would make a great family dog. He hasn't been cat tested. Abbott needs a home with another dog and where his people are around more than not, as he gets anxious when left completely alone. Abbott is crate trained, and has house trained himself to the doggie door. Abbott would love find his furever home soon - will it be yours?

**Additional info you should know - For most of our dogs, we are only guessing at predominant breed or breed mix. We get to know each of our dogs as an individual and do our best to describe and place them based on personality not breed label. Some dogs may not yet be in New England, nor ready for immediate adoption. There may be additional vetting, quarantine, waiting periods and/or fees depending upon your state of residence. If you have questions or concerns on any of this, you can discuss this with your Adoption Counselor.
