Meet Georgie! Georgie is a sweet soul who must have had a hard start in life. He needs a family who is willing to work on his timeline and build his trust. His new family must understand that any relationship and interactions with Georgie need to be on his terms, especially in the beginning, but maybe always. This must be respected by all humans who interact with Georgie or he could be nippy. As such, we are recommending an adult-only household. If this advice is followed, Georgie will make a very sweet, loving addition to your home!
Once Georgie has bonded with his humans, he is so cute and affectionate - and the biggest flirt! He will gently paw at your legs to ask to be picked up, and gently paw at your hand to encourage pets. If you sit down in front of him, he will jump right into your lap. And he loves belly rubs! He will follow his foster mom around from room to room, and loves to curl up on the sofa or doggie bed next to her as she works or watches TV.
Georgie is low energy - sleeping most of the day away, getting up for stretches and potty breaks. He loves walks and is great on a leash - no pulling at all - and accepts being crated. He is crated at night and will also crate himself occasionally through the day if he wants a break. He would love to sleep in his person's bed in his new home but there is just not enough room with the other 5 dogs in his foster home. He is solidly housetrained - he hasn't had a single accident in his northern foster home and will whine or jump at the door if he needs to go out. Georgie tolerates other dogs in the household - he is currently living with 5 other dogs ranging in size from 9lbs to 40lbs and does fine - but if he could pick he would probably prefer to be an only dog so he can have all of your attention to himself. Georgie is currently living in an apartment building and will give anxious barks at neighbors coming and going. This will either need to be worked on, or perhaps he should only go to a single family home.
As you can see from his video, Georgie is a total flirt and a delight to have around - truly a sweet soul who will make the right home very, very happy.
