This dog has been spayed/neutered, is up to date on shots, on heartworm preventative and is microchipped.

Gabby and Abby are a bonded pair of sweet Mini-Dachshunds. They have spent their whole lives together, in a loving home environment , but sadly their elderly owners can no longer take care of them.  Both girls are good with other dogs of all sizes and are fully house trained. They are very friendly and have never shown aggression, but they're not used to kids and Gabby will run and hide under the couch. It would be for the best for them to have no young children in their new forever home. Abby has some impaired vision.  Her depth perception is off, but she can see shadows. This does not stop her in any way...She can go room to room with no problems. She loves her sister and does rely on Gabby for companionship. Abby has a little too much padding and could stand to lose 5 lbs or so, but a lot of this could be from her thyroid which was only recently diagnosed. Gabby is at a perfect weight, she has a lovely waist and is right where she should be at 15 pounds. With a proper diet and exercise they are sure to do great. Can you give these two bonded girls a new home, with lots of love like they once had before but lost?

**Additional info you should know -  For most of our dogs, we are only guessing at predominant breed or breed mix.  We get to know each of our dogs as an individual and do our best to describe and place them based on personality not breed label.   Some dogs may not yet be in New England, nor ready for immediate adoption.  There may be additional vetting, quarantine, waiting periods and/or fees depending upon your state of residence. If you have questions or concerns on any of this, you can discuss this with your Adoption Counselor.
