FUN, FUN, FUN...That's Daisy! Daisy is a playful, vivacious young girl that looks to be an English Foxhound mix. Daisy has shared her foster home with an ever changing stream of all different ages and kinds of dogs, including puppies - she also does well with cats. She plays hard and is determined to win, but she still manages to get along well with everyone. (She will need to be monitored when playing with other dogs, so she doesn't play too hard.) She is part of the "old timers" pack there, and even though she is happy and comfortable she deserves a home where she can get more love and attention from people. Daisy LOVES to play fetch, lives for tennis balls and she will play tug-of-war with anything! She loves to swim, so much so she will try to swim in her water bowl! Although she is very intelligent, she can be goofy at times, for instance she will sit on top of other dogs. Oh! And she's house trained, crate trained and sits quietly in the back seat on car rides! Though she hasn't been with kids, with her friendly manner she would probably be okay - her abundant energy might be too much for little kids though. And with this amount of energy, a fenced-in yard is required. Daisy loves to sit on her foster mom's lap and she won't turn down a good belly rub. Daisy was found as a stray that no one claimed, and while in foster care she was found to be a bit rambunctious, so she went into the Paws in Prison program. Daisy is now obedient and has basic training. Like all young, high energy dogs, Daisy needs a home with someone who has the time and energy to continue with training, socializing and attention, so she will be a well-mannered dog. Daisy is as pretty as she is fun. She has the most loving brown eyes and the softest coat that you will ever pet. Daisy is going to bring so much fun to her new family!

 

Medical Note: Daisy tested positive for exposure to ehrlichia while in SOS foster care. Daisy is/has been asymptomatic while in SOS care and has been treated with a 28-day course of doxycycline. A 4Dx SNAP test should be repeated 6 months after completed treatment to confirm negative results. SOS will cover the cost of this test at our RI vet.
