Abe is a pure bred Shih Tzu who is looking for a new home.  He is a great dog - great with other dogs of all sizes, good with kids of all ages, playful with toys, good on a leash, good in a crate, and house trained.  Unfortunately, Abe is looking for a new home because his human dad passed away a few years ago and his human mom doesn't feel that she can give him the full attention he deserves.  Abe loves to go for walks.  He is a regular at a local boarding and doggie day care facility and does great there.  He is trained to an electric fence, but now that it's broken he gets to run around on a lead outside.  Abe is used to being crated at night, but would also love to sleep in your bed. He is a friendly, cuddle-bug but also a good watch dog - he will alert you when strangers come on the property.  Abe likes toys - he likes stuffed toys a little too much, so he does best with balls and stuffing-free toys.  Abe has free range of the house and is non destructive.  He gets excited when he meets people, and jumps up on them.  Abe is used to being groomed and is easy to handle.  Abe has not been around cats.  Abe is used to having someone around most of the time, so he would do best in a new home with people around a lot and eager to interact with him.  Does Abe sound like the little buddy you have been looking for?
