North *LOCAL* needs a caretaker or foster! Won't you consider helping him get a new start?
Age: 8-9 Months (as of 7/31/15) This dog has been spayed/neutered, is up to date on shots, on heartworm preventative and is microchipped.
North is an effusively playful puppy, who simply enjoys everything that life has to offer. He enjoys making his people happy, and aims to please all the time. He would make the perfect hiking/swimming/camping companion, and would also be perfectly happy resting his head on a human's lap at home. He is a gorgeous boy with a coat that is primarily dark brown, but has light tan mixed in that appear like camel colored highlights.
North has the sweetest disposition, and has been observed to be completely without aggression. Simply put, he's as perfect as they come. North was picked up as a stray and we cannot believe someone did not come looking for this sweet boy.
North walks on a leash, but will need obedience training. We think if he went to puppy training school, he would make an excellent family dog. North has shown interest in cats and dogs, and has not demonstrated any aggression towards either. A fenced-in yard would be ideal for his moderate energy level, he is very smart and could learn to use a invisible fence. We think North would love to have a home with an active family who will take him for frequent walks and runs. We bet North would love the water, and would love to play in a pool, lake or even maybe the ocean. North is not a big barker and frankly is one of the most behaved babies at the shelter.
