Hey y'all, I'm Wynona, one of the Judd sisters.
I'm not really much for singing, but I could bark you a pretty little tune! My sister Ashley, my mom and another dog, who may have been my dad, and I were left at an abandoned house in rural Arkansas. Isn't that a sad song? But it's okay 'cause we're safe in rescue now and ready to find a forever home. I'm kinda shy at first, but once I'm comfortable I'm just fine. I think I might like someone who's quiet and gentle though, 'cause that's sorta my nature. Since I'm just a pup, I'll need a family or an individual who has the time, energy and patience to teach me all the things I'll need to know to be a well-mannered, well-socialized adult - like basic obedience. I have already mastered crate training and I'm fully house broken, too, not to mention that I don't jump up or nip so I should be great with respectful kids! A fenced yard would be nice, too, so I could run and play safely. I'm good with other calm dogs and my foster mom thinks I should definitely have a dog buddy because I really like having my foster big brother around and I also do best in my crate when he's around to keep me company (he's not crated). The first time I was crated without my sister, I managed to escape from the wire crate while my people were out shopping (boy, was my foster mom ever surprised when she got home!), but since then I don't try to escape or even make a peep as long as my foster big brother is around. Even though I did get out and was loose in the house for about three hours, I didn't chew anything or go potty in the house either...did I mention I'm a really good girl? My foster mom tells me that all the time! I have been exposed to cats and although I'm not particularly aggressive, they fascinate me so much that I get "fixated" on them and so it's probably best if my forever family doesn't have any. So if you're looking to add a beautiful southern gal to your family, go on and fill out an application for Wynona Judd right away. I'll be waiting on ya!

Medical Note: Wynona tested positive for exposure to ehrlichia while in SOS foster care. Wynona is/has been asymptomatic while in SOS care and has been treated with a 28-day course of doxycycline. A 4Dx SNAP test should be repeated 6 months after completed treatment to confirm negative results. SOS will cover the cost of this test at our RI vet. Please see HERE for more information on ehrlichia:

**Additional info you should know -  For most of our dogs, we are only guessing at predominant breed or breed mix.  We get to know each of our dogs as an individual and do our best to describe and place them based on personality not breed label.   Some dogs may not yet be in New England, nor ready for immediate adoption.  There may be additional vetting, quarantine, waiting periods and/or fees depending upon your state of residence. If you have questions or concerns on any of this, you can discuss this with your Adoption Counselor.
