This beautiful boy is Ranger!
He is such a love that his foster mom says he's one of her all time favorite pups! He came to the local city shelter as a stray, but someone once loved this boy. He was already neutered and had already had a well-done amputation of his right rear leg, likely at an early age since he gets around on three legs just beautifully. Ranger appears to be a Red Heeler mix, but is more of a teddy bear than anything else. He has all the positive characteristics of a Red Heeler and none of the negative ones. Ranger loves everyone! Dogs, kids, adults, though he does prefer calmer dogs that won't knock him off of his tripod stance. He appears to be afraid of cats so he must've had a run-in with a tom cat at some point in his life. Like many dogs, he is also afraid of fire works. Ranger is loving, calm and easy to walk, and appears to be housebroken - he would be an amazing dog for a family or an individual. He would make an especially good companion for someone who can't take long walks because he does tire easily. He loves a short walk and a good snooze afterward. He is a little overweight and could stand to lose 5 to 10 pounds. Exercise and a good diet will take care of this. Ranger's looking for his forever home and would love to be your teddy bear. Fill out an application today and make his dream come true!

**Additional info you should know -  For most of our dogs, we are only guessing at predominant breed or breed mix.  We get to know each of our dogs as an individual and do our best to describe and place them based on personality not breed label.   Some dogs may not yet be in New England, nor ready for immediate adoption.  There may be additional vetting, quarantine, waiting periods and/or fees depending upon your state of residence. If you have questions or concerns on any of this, you can discuss this with your Adoption Counselor.
