COME MEET ME!!! Age: 14 Weeks (as of 10/9/2015)
This dog has been spayed/neutered, is up to date on shots, on heartworm preventative and is microchipped.
This is Gemma. Gemma has a personality and heart almost as big as she is! Gemma looks to be a Mastiff/Catahoula mix that is approximately 14 weeks old and by the looks of her she is going to be a big girl. She is very soft natured and can be shy when meeting new people, but once she gets to know you she is very friendly and affectionate. She is good with other dogs and cats, and is currently being fostered with both. She is good with kids, but will need to be supervised with little ones because of her size. Gemma LOVES toys and LOVES to play, she has a moderate energy level with moderate exercise needs, so a fenced in yard would be best for her. If not she will need lots of walks and trips to a dog park. She likes to go for car rides - unfortunately sometimes she will get car sick, but it could be a puppy thing that she may outgrow. Gemma will need basic obedience training and house training. She is crate trained and working on leash training. Gemma is eager to please and catches on quickly, but needs someone who has enough time, energy and patience for a puppy.
A volunteer found Gemma on a "Free To Good Home" sight on FaceBook with a 15.00 rehoming fee. She was one of many dogs, and the seller would not relinquish her or the others unless the fee was paid. She did not want her or the others to fall in the wrong hands, so she paid for as many as she could.
