This dog has been spayed/neutered, is up to date on shots, on heartworm preventative and is microchipped.
Just look at this face! This sweet girl is Macy, and she appears to be a Chihuahua/Rat Terrier mix that is approximately 1 year old and just 10 pounds. She is a soft natured and friendly girl who will make a fabulous companion for someone or a family. She would also make a nice playmate for another dog, cat or a child over eight and who is respectful of delicate dogs. She is crate trained and is working on leash walking and will need to be house trained. Macy likes toys and likes it when someone throws a ball for her. She likes car rides and would like to be someone's little princess. Macy would love to have someone pet her, let her sit on their lap and to cuddle her. It would be in Macy's best interest if she went for obedience training, as it would also help her bond with her new family. Macy's start in life was far from ideal.
Macy came from a hoarding situation, and when the elderly woman who owned her passed away, she left her home and all her pets to her daughter. When the house was subsequently condemned, the daughter took one dog and left the rest behind. The police went to the house two weeks later after a neighbor complained of a bad odor. The police opened the door to find deplorable conditions. There were starving cats and dogs, sick ones and ones that didn't make it. Some ran out the door so fast they were hit and killed, others were never seen again. Macy was loaded with fleas and had some hair loss. Lucky for her, she survived, while others did not. Now Macy has the chance to have a loving home. Will you be the one to give her the love and home that she never had?
