Warning, this puppy is going to steal your heart! Haley looks to be an adorable Beagle mix with an equally adorable personality! He is so sweet and gushes with enthusiasm and gratitude. Haley has a minor facial deformity that just makes him look even sweeter...if that's even possible! He has a split nose and lip that is more cosmetic than a health concern. His cleft does not extend to his pallet, so he has no problem with eating or drinking. He did have minor corrective surgery several weeks ago to help prevent any future complications, and his recovery is going well. Haley is a gentle soul, he loves everyone and everything, he even tries to get the little birds that steal his food, to play with him. When it comes to eating his food, he does it in a most unusual way. He eats all that he can hold and then will go back every few minutes to nibble one more piece. Haley definitely marches to the beat to his own drum...but he is a clever little guy, he is always watching and thinking. Haley can be a little shy when meeting new people, but once he knows everything is okay - he is all wiggles and kisses. He has moderate to high energy, as he loves to run and play. A fenced-in yard would be for the best, if not he will need to be taken for lots walks and visits to a dog park. T here may be one thing that Haley likes as much as he likes to play and that is to be cuddled and given lots of loving.  Before he was taken into rescue it was reported that he would love to play with all the neighborhood children.

 

Haley was found as a stray. One day he had showed up at an elderly lady's house and due to her age she could not take care of him, so she turned him over to a shelter. From his condition it was clear that he wasn't taken care of, as he had bug bites all over his ears.Haley will need to be house trained, crate trained and leash trained. He will also need obedience training, as it not only helps with training and good manners, but it also helps form a lasting bond. As you will see in his video, Haley was so happy to be inside and to have a bed, he didn't know what to do with himself! Just imagine how happy he will be to have his very own family!
