This beautiful girl is Xena!

Xena was abandoned at one of our southern partner's vet clinics and found by the receptionist. Besides being absolutely gorgeous, she gets along with other animals: dogs, cats and ferrets! Xena plays well with other dogs and is pretty submissive with respectful dogs. She's initially shy with people but warms up quickly and is good with kids. She's very playful, likes to snuggle and sleeps in bed with her foster mom. She LOVES to ride in the car and understands the word "ride" or "load up." She would rather ride in your lap, but eventually will lay down on the seat. Xena's house broken, walks well on a leash and knows some basic commands already, like sit and lay down. She does not like to be held down (as when being given shots by the vet), but she does like to be the center of attention. As with all puppies, an obedience class is highly recommended, not only for the bonding and "getting to know you better" aspects, but because it can bolster confidence (yours and the dog's) and can be lots of fun. She does chew, like all puppies, but Xena will make a really wonderful pet for some individual or family. If there is another dog in the household, she will be the follower.
