Skeeter Terrier here!
If you're looking for lots of love and fun in a small package, then look no further! I'm handsome, lovable, and loving. I enjoy cuddles and belly rubs, but do tend to pick one person and cozy up to them. I am house trained and crate trained, but may need reminders after a transition to a new home. I am good in the car and like going for rides, but I cry a bit when crated in the car - I'd rather ride loose, but I'm quick to sneak out the door and I hate to admit it, but I don't come when I'm called. We'll work on that together and get that solid recall down! I do love sunbathing and just hanging out. I've been told I have a dominant personality. I need a strong person to show me that they are the provider and that I don't need to fill that role...without that, I sometimes forget and try to take over or get anxious. I enjoy the company of other dogs and can be very playful, but sometimes I am over-assertive and not all other dogs appreciate that. I am also not the most polite greeter of new dogs, so I could use some work on that. I love to walk on the leash and absolutely LOVE playing fetch and with toys! I also love running and playing in the yard so a fenced yard with a 4-ft. fence would be ideal so I can play safely. I am SUPER FAST when I get loose, so I should never be off leash. I'm smart, even-tempered, gentle, affectionate, eager to please and even a bit goofy sometimes. Now I gotta tell you, I haven't had any obedience training so a class is a MUST for me! A class will help us do some bonding, learn a bit about each other, stimulate my ever-working mind, and continue my socialization. I have a little nervous energy, so learning additional skills will help build my confidence, as will having a strong pet parent(s) to give me structure and guidance. My story? There's not much to tell: I appear to be a Min Pin/Manchester Terrier mix (hence my last name) and I was an "owner surrender" to a local southern vet for no good reason. I'm all about the future, though, and I can easily see my future with you! I'd love to be a part of your family, so if you're looking to add some handsome perfection to your home, fill out an application today for me, Skeeter Terrier! I'll be waiting just for you!

**Additional info you should know -  For most of our dogs, we are only guessing at predominant breed or breed mix.  We get to know each of our dogs as an individual and do our best to describe and place them based on personality not breed label.   Some dogs may not yet be in New England, nor ready for immediate adoption.  There may be additional vetting, quarantine, waiting periods and/or fees depending upon your state of residence. If you have questions or concerns on any of this, you can discuss this with your Adoption Counselor.
