Not quite like peas in a pod!
This handsome little sweetie is Parker Peapod of the Peapod litter! Their Mamma, who appeared to be a Beagle mix, was found on the side of a highway and gave birth to a litter of adorable puppies a week later: here we have two girls and two boys looking for their forever homes. The pups have been in a southern foster home since birth until February 2, 2016, when they came to live at the CAFA shelter. They appear to be a Beagle/Spaniel/Curr/Hound mix about 4 months old.
Parker is a bit shy like his siblings. He can be timid and a bit skittish with new people and new situations, but warms up and gets comfortable quickly. Then he's happy to be on your lap! Parker's not at all fluffy like the others - just one handsome dude! He's mostly black with tan on his face, legs, paws and throat. He has black across his chest. Like all puppies, Parker and his siblings will need to be house trained, crate trained and learn to walk on a leash - these things are all currently being worked on, but they will need their canine education continued. We strongly recommend an obedience class, not just for the bonding aspect of it, but because it helps build confidence and provides some socialization for the puppy. Parker is good with all dogs and with children, and does well in the car. He hasn't been cat tested, but would probably be fine. He's quiet - just barks when excited, like most puppies. A fenced yard would be ideal (4-6 ft. recommended) so he could run and play safely. Otherwise he'll need daily walks and trips to the dog park. He loves toys, is affectionate, eager to please, smart, even-tempered and gentle. What more could you want? If you have the time, energy and patience for puppy raising, fill out an application today for handsome Parker Peapod! He can't wait to give you snuggles and sweet puppy kisses!

**Additional info you should know - For most of our dogs, we are only guessing at predominant breed or breed mix. We get to know each of our dogs as an individual and do our best to describe and place them based on personality not breed label. Some dogs may not yet be in New England, nor ready for immediate adoption. There may be additional vetting, quarantine, waiting periods and/or fees depending upon your state of residence. If you have questions or concerns on any of this, you can discuss this with your Adoption Counselor.
