This lovely girl is Xena Princess Warrior Dog! Xena is here to save you from a life of boredom! This girl is all about having fun and her appetite for fun and play is contagious. You can't help but being happy around Xena! Xena appears to be a black and white Labrador Retriever mix that is about 10 months old. She has a lot of fun high energy and will be great for an active person or family. Xena will need lots of activity - mental and physical - to stay happy. She is crate trained, leash trained and just about house trained - she will have an occasional accident but she is doing great. Xena should attend obedience training, as it not only helps with training and manners, it also helps form a lasting bond with her new family. She enjoys the yard, and wouldn't need a large one, just one where she can play her favorite game of fetch. She also loves to chase birds and play with toys. She is currently being fostered with dogs of all ages and sizes and she loves them all! She also gets along well with her foster mom's two cats. She has not been around any children, but she can be tested if needed. Xena is very sweet and friendly, she probably would do well with children who are okay with high energy, medium-breed sized dogs. Xena also loves to cuddle. Medical Note: Xena was treated for generalized demodectic mange while in the SOS program. Xena has responded well to this treatment and his coat is regrowing nicely. Please note that demodex can flare up in any dog in times of stress (eg, transport, transition to a new home, etc). As such, the adopter is advised to discuss this condition and best next steps with their veterinarian.
