It's LOVE by the dozen! These 12 adorable puppies are from Pleasant Plains, Arkansas, hence their litter name "Pleasant." They are believed to be Labrador Retriever mixes that were born approximately 1/9/2016. We recommend obedience training for all puppies, as it not only helps with training and good manners, but it also helps to form a lasting bond. A home with a fenced-in yard would be ideal, if not he/she would need lots of walks and other off-leash ways to play and burn off energy.

Heidi Pleasant is a sweetheart! She is black with brindling on paws/legs and a white vertical line on her chest...she is a beauty! Heidi is doing great with house training, and is trained to use the doggie door. She is very docile, easy going and affectionate. Heidi can't wait to join a loving family! If you would like to be that family, please fill out an application. You will love her!

Medical Note: This dog is being treated for mild localized demodectic [non-contagious] mange with monthly NexGard doses (you may be able to see the small spots in her picture). We expect this dog to respond well to this treatment and her coat to regrow nicely and fully. Please note that demodex can flare up in any dog in times of stress (eg, transport, transition to a new home, etc), and is most common in puppies due to the fact that their immune system is not yet fully developed. As such, the adopter is advised to discuss this condition and best next steps with their veterinarian. In general, we recommend that puppies with a history of demodex be kept on a regular flea/tick preventative such as NexGard (monthly) or Bravecto (quarterly) until they are 12-16 months old. Please see here for more information on demodectic mange:  http://www.vcahospitals.com/main/pet-health-information/article/animal-health/mange-demodectic-in-dogs/741. Please discuss any concerns with your veterinarian.

**Additional info you should know -  For most of our dogs, we are only guessing at predominant breed or breed mix.  We get to know each of our dogs as an individual and do our best to describe and place them based on personality not breed label.   Some dogs may not yet be in New England, nor ready for immediate adoption.  There may be additional vetting, quarantine, waiting periods and/or fees depending upon your state of residence. If you have questions or concerns on any of this, you can discuss this with your Adoption Counselor.
