Say hello to Elizabeth Reed, one of our little southern "rock stars" from the "Allman" litter! This amazing litter of pups look to have been born around 12/11/2015, and they are now ready to find their fur-ever homes. Their mama was Skylar, a sweet and beautiful 32-pound Shepherd mix that recently found her fur-ever family. Since we do not know who dad was, we can't say for sure how big these little ones will be as adults, but it does appear that they will be larger than their mom. Skylar was found pregnant and chained to a single wide trailer with no food or water. She was rescued and gave birth at the vet clinic to these seven happy, healthy puppies. Elizabeth is a cutie! She is mostly tan with a little black and white mixed in and she has the prettiest eyes. Elizabeth and her litter-mates are crate trained and are doing great with leash manners. They are not yet house trained, and we strongly encourage all puppies have basic obedience training. Elizabeth is social, friendly and she loves meeting new people. She was a hit with a bunch of 4th, 5th, and 6th graders that came to visit the litter. She is great with other dogs and she just loves cats! Like most puppies her age, her day consists of lots of puppy play and lots of naps. She likes to cuddle on your lap one minute, then she is running and playing the next. A fenced-in yard would be ideal - if not she will need lots of walks and other ways of off-leash play, so she will remain happy and well adjusted. So far she loves water! All the pups pile in the puppy pool and they have a fun time splashing around. Elizabeth Reed is so much fun and will be perfect for an active family. If you would love to have her join your family, please fill out an application and this little rock star may be playing at your house very soon.

Note: We strongly encourage basic obedience training for all of our dogs, as it not only helps your dog blossom into a well-balanced canine citizen with good manners, but it also helps to form a lasting bond between the dog and humans in the family. The more time and energy you invest in your puppy now, the more likely you will have a great family companion who is welcome at family gatherings and in public for many years to come. Adopters should plan to spend plenty of time playing with your new puppy, training her in basic commands, tricks and skills like leash-, crate-, and house-training; socializing her with new situations and dogs, and giving her plenty of free play and working play (like pack walks). A tired dog is a good dog!

**Additional info you should know -  For most of our dogs, we are only guessing at predominant breed or breed mix.  We get to know each of our dogs as an individual and do our best to describe and place them based on personality not breed label.   Some dogs may not yet be in New England, nor ready for immediate adoption.  There may be additional vetting, quarantine, waiting periods and/or fees depending upon your state of residence. If you have questions or concerns on any of this, you can discuss this with your Adoption Counselor.
