This dog has been spayed/neutered, is up to date on shots, on heartworm preventative and is microchipped.

Cute as a button! This little sweetheart is Lady Girl! She appears to be a Border Collie mix about two months old with the most unusual markings! She's mostly white except for her head and her right front quarter which is black down to her ankle, then her paw is white. She looks like she has one black jacket sleeve on. She does have a river of white running up between her eyes ending in a little pool on the top of her head and her muzzle is white with little spots. She also has a couple of black spots here and there. She's absolutely beautiful!

 

As with all puppies, Lady will need to be house trained and crate trained. She is currently working on her leash training. We also strongly recommend obedience training as it not only helps with socializing and confidence building for your puppy, but helps promote that ever-important bond between a puppy and her human family. The more time and energy that you invest in your puppy playing and teaching her all the things she needs to learn to be a well-balanced canine citizen is the most important thing you can do for her - well, besides lots of cuddles, loving and belly rubs! This way she will be welcomed most anywhere she goes with you. Lady Girl is your typical puppy: she likes to chew, jump on guests and bark - she can also be a bit "mouthy." These are all behaviors that her new family will need to work on. A fenced yard would be ideal so Lady can run and play safely, but if not available then daily walks and opportunity for off-leash play, such as in a dog park, should take care of her moderate exercise needs. Dogs, young and old, benefit from mental, as well as physical exercise, so games that challenge Lady mentally are highly recommended. Border Collie type dogs are often really good at agility!

 

Lady came into rescue on Labor Day at around five to seven weeks of age and was very timid. She has come out of her shell and would love to be your lovey-dove! Fill out an application for Lady Girl and prepare for soft cuddles and sweet puppy kisses!
