This beautiful masked girl is Tilly!
Tilly is one lucky pup! She was thrown out of a car a short time ago and rescued by a good Samaritan! Fortunately she did not sustain any injuries, but she is now afraid of cars. Tilly appears to be a Rat Terrier/Spitz mix (her tail curls and is fluffy like a Spitz's would be) about 8 or 9 months old. She is super-sweet and we are lucky to have her as part of SOS! Tilly is house trained, crate trained and walks on a leash. She's great with other dogs, cats, kids of all ages, and adults. She's playful, affectionate, friendly, eager to please, even-tempered, and smart. We strongly recommend that all our dogs attend obedience classes, not only because you get to learn commands together and it offers an opportunity for confidence building and socialization for the dog, but because it helps to strengthen that ever-important bond between the dog and her human family. And it’s lots of fun! A well-mannered, obedient dog will be welcomed most anywhere you take her. Tilly doesn't necessarily need a yard as long as she gets daily leash walks and opportunities to run and play off-leash in a dog park. So far Tilly has been a bit of a barker, but she is new to rescue and it just may be she's not adjusted to all the different noises, etc. She absolutely adores older people and would probably make a great therapy or emotional support dog. She loves to hang out with her foster's grandma!
Tilly would dearly love to have a furever home where she's loved and treated with kindness. Do you have the home that she's looking for? Fill out an application right away and don't keep Tilly waiting any longer!

**Additional info you should know - For most of our dogs, we are only guessing at predominant breed or breed mix. We get to know each of our dogs as an individual and do our best to describe and place them based on personality not breed label. Some dogs may not yet be in New England, nor ready for immediate adoption. There may be additional vetting, quarantine, waiting periods and/or fees depending upon your state of residence. If you have questions or concerns on any of this, you can discuss this with your Adoption Counselor.
